Randy Ferren grew up in Fullerton, CA where he played in basketball leagues at the Boys Club of Fullerton.  His father was a long time basketball coach at the Boys Club of Fullerton. One of the highlights of his youth was playing in a Boys Club basketball game before a Laker game at the Forum in Inglewood  and meeting Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Magic Johnson.

Randy joined the board in May of 2008.  He has been a member of the Carlsbad Hi Noon Rotary Club since December 2006 and is currently Treasurer of the Club.  Randy is also involved in the Pro Kids Golf Academy at Colina Park and was on the fundraising committee for their 2007 Annual Dinner Banquet. 

Randy received his degree in Finance from San Diego State University in 1995.  He began his banking career with General Bank in 1995 and then joined California Bank & Trust (then Grossmont Bank) in October 1997.  He has been with the Bank for the last 11 years where he has moved up from commercial lender to VP/Branch Manager of the Carlsbad office for the last 4 years.

Randy currently resides in the Del Mar Heights area of San Diego.  He recently purchased a home in Carlsbad and will be a Carlsbad resident in July 2008.  Randy enjoys participating in many sports including golf, tennis, and skiing.  He also likes to travel to different places around the world where he can golf and ski.
