Rich Goldman retired as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Effective Media Services and at the encouragement of Gasper Chifici, joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad’s board of directors in December 2001. He said: "This is the first time I have volunteered my time in addition to my support of an organization. I do this because I know the Boys & Girls Clubs is saving lives every day!"

Rich is originally from New York and presently lives in Carlsbad with his wife, Mari.
