John received his degree in Business Administration from Oregon State University, and has been involved with the commercial and business banking industry in San Diego since 1990.  Currently, he is a Vice President and commercial lender with Torrey Pines Bank, covering North County.  His responsibilities include opening and staffing their new Carlsbad office, which is located only a quarter mile away from the new Boys & Girls Clubhouse site.

Born and raised in Grants Pass, Oregon, John currently resides in Carlsbad with Tami, his wife of 15 years, and two children.  He has served on the American Field Service board as well as another Boys & Girls Club branch board.  In his leisure time, John enjoys running, skiing, performance auto activities, and spending time with his family.

Since becoming installed on the board in September 2005, John has hit the ground running and become involved in all aspects of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad.  He's a great addition to our team.
