Callaway Golf Company Foundation Presents $90,000 to Local Boys & Girls Clubs
(December 6, 2006 – Carlsbad, CA) Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, and Vista were awarded a $90,000 collaborative grant from Callaway Golf Company Foundation in support of their health and life skills/gangbusters programming for youth in North County.
Callaway Golf Company Foundation’s gift is earmarked for programming designed to help young people effectively resist gangs and violence, resolve conflicts, learn positive peer influence, and develop behaviors that will help them become self-sufficient and productive adults.
“The financial support of Callaway Golf Company Foundation is vital to successfully connect with the at risk youth in our communities,” stated Ron Sipiora, Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad Chief Professional Officer. “We are grateful for their dedication and commitment.
Callaway Golf Company Foundation was created in 1993 with the goal of helping those in need. Callaway Golf considers itself fortunate in its success as a company and uses the foundation as an outlet to give something back to the community that has helped make it so successful.
