Firefighters Raise $2K for Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad at Texas Hold-Em Championship

(June 17, 2005 - Carlsbad, CA)  The California Firefighters' Inaugural Texas Hold-Em Championship, sponsored by International Association of Fire Fighters Carlsbad Local 3730, recently raised $2,050 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad at an event held at Ocean's Eleven Casino in Oceanside, where 41 active and retired firefighters participated.  Carlsbad Battalion Chief Kim Blaylock, on behalf of Carlsbad Local 3730, presented the donation to Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad board members David Kulchin and Bailey Noble, and Chief Professional Officer Ron Sipiora.  The proceeds are designated for the operational support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad character and leadership, education, and career development and recreational programs.
