Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad Welcomes New Board Members

(November 15, 2006 – Carlsbad, CA)  Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad is pleased to welcome two new members to its growing list of community-oriented board.  Pictured from left to right are Viola Wheelihan of Wheelihan Construction, Inc. and Valerie Bowman of California Bank & Trust. 

Viola first became involved with the Club as a special event volunteer.  After that experience, she decided she believed so strongly with the mission of the Club and wanted to give back to Carlsbad, so it was a natural transition to become a permanent board member. 

Valerie is a native San Diegan, an active member in the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, and comes to the board with spirit and enthusiasm for the youth of Carlsbad.
